Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Can a Florida Court Judge in a Divorce case make me give up my 50% of my company to the other 50% partner who has filed for the divorce? Company established before we got married. So not a marital asset. Also we already had an agreement filed to the courts that said we would handle the company issues outside of the divorce. The other party is now trying to amend that agreement to include the business and also to pay her attorney fees, although in the agreement we said we each would handle our own attorney expenses

No, this Florida court may not adjudicate this particular marital (allegedly) issue unless it has proper jurisdiction (power) over your person which from the limited facts in this question I cannot say.

However, should the answer be in the affirmative, you would appear well advised to

retain the service of your own Florida attorney to contest these claims (assuming you haven't already done so).
