Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Is there a form I can file myself so that I can get money from my husband upfront so that I'm able to pay my lawyer/legal fees at the start of the divorce process.

One lawyers here in Fredericksburg, VA (where I'm living) states there may be, but I have to consult with her first.

I've been a stay at home mom and if there's ways I can do it myself so that I can retain a good lawyer, I'd like to do it that way.

You should have a lawyer help you. It will not be easy to do yourself. Your lawyer will have all the forms you need.
