Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Is spouses social security number required to submit bill of complaint?

Doing own divorce. Spouse will not provide social security number. Can bill of complaint be submitted without defedant's social security number? If not, what alternatives are there to deal with this type of issue. Defendant is not against divorce, has agreed to noncontested and will likely sign all documents, just does not want to provide SSN.

Re: Is spouses social security number required to submit bill of complaint?

You should be able to submit the Bill of Complaint without the noncooperative spouse's ss number. You might want to attach a brief note

explaining matters to the clerk.
