Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

still time?

March will be 9 months for me and my wife. Trying to get an anullment. No kids from the marriage. Said she could and couldn't have kids. Yeah I scratched my head also. The only thing we have is a vehicle that we purchased but i pay the note. She dont work anymore so she dont pay any bills. She was working and got fired. Can i get an anullment and will i have to pay alimony? As far as the car is concerned she already had and has a car prior to the marriage. Can i keep the car knowing she cant afford to pay for it and she will not pay for it? OK I got a response but not answered on the alimony question.

Re: still time?

No court is likely to order alimony after only nine months of marriage.

Of course, you can retain the car until she makes a claim for her share of it as marital property.
