Legal Question in Medical Leave in Virginia

Denial of annual raise and refusal to remove absenteeism from work records.

My employer denied my raise because of excess absenteeism due to a medical condition. My neurologist had approved my FMLA leave and I had turned in the necessary paperwork. Human Resources also approved it. All of the time I missed was intermittent and covered under FMLA. Now they tell me they didn't keep accurate records of the time I took as FMLA leave. In other words they keep brushing me off. Do you think I have a case?
