Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

I applied for hospital financial program and after submitting all of the required paperwork was told that i was approved for the procedure at no cost based on my income. Now 1 year later a Law firm is taking me to court for a warrent in debt. At the first hearing he stated that the rep telling me I was approved was not good enough I needed a letter, but i never recieved a letter and I didn't quention because I was refered from the health department for this test. Can they do this?

So, why haven't you recontacted this hospital financial program

for written proof or documentation that you were approved for this

alternative means of handling the debt for which this law firm is now

apparently pursuing you?
