Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

Preparing an Answer to a Complaint

Can you provide me with a form and format for preparing an answer to a complaint filed in Virginia Circuit Court? The complaint involves a civil matter (dispute over approximately $40,000). Thank you for your assistance.

Re: Preparing an Answer to a Complaint

You've been served with a complaint for a civil judgment for some $40k filed in a Virginia circuit court and you now want to file an answer on your own using some form/format suggested by an attorney in this forum who has never even laid eyes on the complaint and attendant paperwork nor is in any way conversant with the relevant facts and applicable law which may be involved in this matter?

This is truly absurd and you are a very naive person, indeed, if you think that such a response on your part would have any chance of successfully constituting a credible answer to the complaint which has been filed. And, if you attempt to continue down this pro se primrose path, so to speak, without the benefit of a duly licensed Virginia attorney to at least advise(if not actually represent) you in this matter, the plaintiff in your pending case is very likely to be awarded a very substantial judgment against you.
