Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

Sale of Truck

I sold a truck to someone that bought the truck sight unseen. Before selling the truck I had a certified mechanic who let me know what needed to be fixed which was done.

After buying the truck and paying for the truck they signed a bill of sale stating that the truck was sold as is and that good faith had been made to ensure that all known problems were fixed or let known that needed to be fixed.

After doing so they had the truck towed to a repair shop in which has given them a list of repairs that need to be made. Now they want me to buy the truck back from them and if I do not they want to take me to court.

With the bill of sale stating the truck was sold as is and me fixing what I believed was wrong do they still have a case to sue me.

Re: Sale of Truck

Of course, the buyer could sue you, but since this was a private sale involving a used vehicle sold "AS IS" without evidence of fraud nor misrepresentation on your part, I do not see how the buyer could prevail on his claim(s).
