Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

Should I be worried?

A man came to our door and asked if we had a dry-wall business. We told him no. He said he had done some business with our neighbor 2 doors down (who does dry wall) and the neighbor owes him a lot of money. He said the neighbor is using our address on his business cards and invoices. When he came to our house he noticed the neighbors work truck with the business name on it. He told us not to be surprised if other people come to our house thinking we are part of the dry wall business. I cannot think of a reason our neighbor is doing this. Is there some scam that works like this?

Re: Should I be worried?

Instead of merely speculating on as to what your neighbor may allegedly be up to, why not ask him?

(I would also hope that you got the name and license plate number of the fellow who appeared at your doorstep with this strange tale.)
