Legal Question in Immigration Law in Virginia

Fiance visa

Sir,

What is the difference b/w K1/K2 and K3/K4 ??? Is there any processing time difference b/w these two? One will be quicker then other? Should I get married to my Fiance outside the US and apply K3/K4 visa ? will it be more quicker way for her to join me in US ?

Regards,

Shayan

Re: Fiance visa

A K-1 visa allows a foreigner who is a fiance of a U.S. citizen to enter the United States only for the purpose of marrying that citizen within 90 days of entry into the country. The K-2 visa allows the fiance's dependent also to enter with his or her parent.

A K-3 visa allows an alien spouse to enter the United States where the spouse has already married a U.S. citizen outside this country. This visa is applied for at and issued by the consulate or embassy in the country where the alien spouse resides. The K-4 visa allows the alien spouse's

dependent child to also enter the United States with him or her.

The K-1 visa process is apparently claimed to operate more quickly than the K-3 visa process by those who have had experience with them.
