Legal Question in Immigration Law in Virginia

Hi, i was petitioned as an immigrant by my U.S. citizen (naturalized) father, i arrived here in America on 2001, i was 15yrs old back then.. I own a green card as well.. the only thing is He and my mother wasn't married but they are living together since 1978.. My father supports my mother, siblings and I.. Am i eligible to claim that i am a US citizen automatically under the Child Citizenship Act of 2001?

Yes, it would appear so (assuming that you have met all the requirements

of the Child Citizenship Act of 2000 which became effective

February 27, 2001). (The fact that your U.S. citizen father was never married to your mother would appear to be irrelevant to the issue of your eligibility for automatic naturalization under this particular Act.)
