Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
My apartment complex management team discarded paperwork on my file without notice causing my account to become past due.(Situation: I had free rent for 1 mth, signed my paperwork and was advised by the leasing agents that I didnt have to pay anything for that particular month. When the next month rent was due thats when they told me I was past due for the previous month and assessed fees.) Now because I am past due and unable to catch up they are evicting me. Is this legal?
