Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia

Please help,

I moved out during last month of lease, I agree to owing $1190.00, she gave me a five day pay or guit. Harrassed my employeer at his place of employment, failed to fix heat and still after 10 months of asking refused to remove her belongings out of rental property, I was fed up and left, not my smartest disiccion, But: my landlord sued me for $2780.00, also still has my $1190.00 deposit which she didn't put towards amount owed that she claimed, I lost to defualt judgement, in hospital, asked for a continuance, but now I must apeal, How do I go about finding out what the $2780.00 was for and where did my deposit go? Do I just do the apeal or also sue her in small claims court?

Re: Please help,

No, you appeal the lower court decision awarding $2780 to the landlord on the grounds that the landlord failed in her duty to appropriately provide heat, and, perhaps, other required maintenance, and constrained your living space by failing to remove her personal property after your repeated requests and has failed to properly account for your security deposit which she apparently continues to retain.
