Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia

I have a roommate who I want to move out. She never filled out any contracts or papers. She did get her address changed to my address. What are the legal implications if I want her to move out? How much notice?

Give her 30 days advance notice in writing to move and if she doesn't depart by that date, then go down to the clerk's office of your local general district court(civil division) and tell them that you want to initiate a warrant for unlawful detainer action to have the person formally evicted.
