Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia

I signed my first lease this past August with a girl i used to work with and another girl. Less than a month after we moved in the girl i used to work with started drinking heavily and became physical. She called Animal Control on me several times and made false accusations. And just recently i came back from being out of town and my locked bedroom door had been forced open and the dead bolt was tore completely out of the door. I moved into this house to get away from an abusive situation only to move into another one. It's very awkward, hostile, and threatening in the house. I have explained this to my landlords and they said they can't let me out of my lease... Is there anything i can do?

No, not unless you can find someone to replace you on the lease for the balance of its term and with the landlord's approval.
