Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Virginia

phycial therapy gone nuts

On February4,2004.The electric stimulation machine was connected to my knee. He told the girl who assisted him, ''you have to watch the muscle and make sure you can see the muscle moving'', while he turn the machine up. At one point I had looked at the machine, it was at 15.0, a few seconds later the lady said, she said there, it's moving. I told them it hurts, that I could not take this pain. After a few waves of pain, I told them, you have to turn this machine off it hurts,He said NO, we have to stimulate that muscle we can't let it atrophied. I sat there in tears, with each wave of pain, each time the electricity would hit my knee which seem to become more intent.I had to stand this for 20 minutes, from time to time he would come over and say'' there it goes'' it's contracting'' I felt he was taunting me.

I called my doctor at 9:00AM on Thursday, February, 5, 2004 explaining what had happen, he said DO NOT go back for PT until you see me.

My nurse agree with my Doctor.

Re: phycial therapy gone nuts

It's unclear from your question whether or not

your knee received any benefit from this treatment(after it was all over) and, if not, what damage claims you would be asserting against this therapist.
