Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

Automobile accident

I was in an automobile accident recently in a bank parking lot. I was backing out of a space and i was completely out and ready to pull out of the bank when i was backed into by another car she hit my drivers side door with her drivers side reat taillight.I called my insurance immediately and they said that the police wouldnt do any thing on a private lot. So i told them the problem and gave the name and insurance of the other person. She called her in surance and i didnt hear all she said to them but they talked to me and asked me my name and etc. Then they wanted to set a date to see my car. I assumed she had told them she hit me. I received a call later on that night from her insurance asking details when i tiold them what happened she said we had conflicting storied the woman claims tha we both hit each other backing up.This is totally untrue and also she was backing the opposite direction to pull out of the enter way instead of the exit as that was the way i was going..What should i do now, this isnt my fault and i dont feel that my insurance should pay for my damage.

hit in bank parking lot

Lots of times there are conflicting stories about what happened. Hey, people recollectthings differently and people lie. don't worry too much about it.Tell your story to your ins. carrier and let them deal with it. This is onlya property damage case and you have paid premiums to nothave to deal with just this hassle. You can never "win" the argument.I practice in Va. and if you have any other questions please call me.
