Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

libel/slander

After a very bad experience at a restaurant while on vacation in Avon, NC., I contacted the North Carolina State Consumer Protection office. I explained the way we were treated to the office. It took 2 requests from consumer protection before the establishment finally responded. Rather than addressing the issue of poor service, the person that wrote the letter accused our group of being intoxicated and disruptive to the establishment. These are false statements and in my opinion extremely slanderous to me and to the group that I was with.

I feel that this is a clear case of libel.

Please respond

Sincerely,

Debbie Landon
