Legal Question in Personal Injury in Virginia

My ex wife and I have been divorced for 10 years. We have not spoke in 12 years. I am currently remarried and very happy. Recently I stumbled upon a social account she owns. There are many references to me and she has a very large following.

Recently, she made a statement that I had committed a sexual crime and was convicted. I never was accused of such a crime and I'm worried that her actions could affect my job, if this were to grow larger. Is this legal and what rights do I have? I really don't want to confront her but this is serious. She lives in Alabama and I live in Virginia.

I wouldn't involve myself (if I were you) unless, as you say, the

matter "were to grow larger", i.e., affecting your job or business

prospects in general as corroborated by independent sources.

Yes, better for you to "stumble" out of this social network account

for your former spouse that you have somehow now stumbled into before

this issue further preys upon your mental resources (in my opinion).
