delinquent taxes

taxes behind on land with multiple aires. If one aire pays back taxes what happens if other aires don't repay debt to aire, what recource does payee have?

Of course every situation is different and normally speaking there are many more details necessary to give an opinion... in very very general terms if one of the heirs pays delinquent real estate taxes, that heir can then offset the expense against the other heirs at the time of distribution... in other words, the other heirs will need to pay back what the heir paid (in proportion of their interest). Needless to say that the heir in question did the right thing in paying the taxes, because the last thing you want to see happen is a tax sale! Please keep in mind that the situation can be a lot more complex than what transpired from your brief question: I strongly suggest that you hire an attorney to oversee the probate.
