Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

Hi, I have an easement on my property that was made in 1961, the main purpose of the easement was as the primary entrance and exit road of the neighborhood because there wasn't any other roads linking to the principle road. The easement was given to the county so anyone could use it, but around twenty years ago a road was made that connected every house to the principle road and the easement hasn't been in use and also has several large trees growing on it. Is there a way to remove the easement or have the county release it because it is no longer needed?

Yes, could be possible. You should arrange for a consultation

regarding the matter with a local attorney who handles real

property law and land use issues in the particular locale where you

reside and who should be able to advise you, accordingly.
