Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

my wife and I own a townhouse in virginia beach , va. free & clear now. my question is , does the deed or title to same , still suppose to show either the orginal owners , or previous owners names on the deed or title .

Yes, quite often at least some previous owners of real property

are listed on the deed to the property to establish the chain of title.
