Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

Do I have any rights?

My father is 81.According to my sister and father his will states we are co-executors of his will, with his house, real estate, and vehicles to be divided equally upon his death...(mind you, I have seen nothing in writing stating this).because my sister and father do not include me in any legal matters. My sister has made the comment that she is thinking of buying my father's house for fair market value..which is far below what the house is really worth. If the will is as they have told me, where does this leave me?My sister has just built a new house and she is only going to use the house to make a profit to pay on her own home..What are my rights? And should I be notified before any of this takes place? His will is held at his attorney's office..Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Do I have any rights?

Until your father passes away, his written will means little, legally speaking, and it confers no

rights on you nor on any of the other named beneficiaries. In the meantime, your father is free to amend his will in any way he chooses and

to sell his house, if he so chooses, to anyone

he pleases, including your scheming sister.
