Conditional Empoyment Offer

I was offered a job under the condition that I have the ability to obtain a security clearance TS SCI. I already have a TS clearance. I was hired in December and have been waiting for the additional clearance to go through. I was just notified that the clearance would take 6 months to go through and that because they dont want to wait that long they are renigging on my offer. I believe it is a breach of contract because they knew how long it would take for the clearance to go through when they hired me and not wanting to wait to receive my clearance has nothing to do with me not being able to be cleared. What recourse do I have, as I have been waiting to begin work with them since Dec 18th and have been without pay since?

Re: Conditional Empoyment Offer

Whatever recourse you may have against this particular employer for this particular situation should be embodied in your enforceable contract of employment--if there be such. If you have no such enforceable contract, then(in my view) you are without a viable remedy(recourse).
