Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Washington

Filing Chapter 7 Again

Hi - I filed chapter 7 in April of 1998 - My husband lost his job and has been unemployed for 8 months and we are in trouble again. I have read that I can't file chapter 7 again until 6 years has past. Is the 6 years from the date I filed in April of 1998 or the discharge Date of August 24th.

Also because we have only 1 income I was considering filing a Chapter 20. How long after I file a 7 can I do a 13.

Thank You

Discharge date will control ... "Chapter 20" would only be an idea if you have a unique situation ... I would need to know about the non-dischargeable debt first. Possibly you only need to do a 13?

Anyway, feel free to call me if you would like to discuss,
