Bankruptcy and signing of loans and not married

My daughter and her boyfriend signed for a car together. He is now planning on filing bankruptcy. How does this effect my daughter?

Should your daughter's boyfriend be successful in his petition for bankruptcy, and have car debt discharged, your daughter will be held solely responsible for the car by the lender.
