Legal Question in Business Law in Washington
I agreed to a position as a long term individual. 10 months into the work I was told that my position was going away and if I could find work then I should take it. The problem is that now they are wanting all of their relocations money paid back to them because I did not stay the entire 12 months. This includes the hotel to put me up for 60 days, and per diem.
My question is real simple, I'm I obligated to pay all of the money back even though I was told my position was going away and I needed to look for another postion?

As a Franchise Attorney I need to ask a couple questions. Do you have a written employment agreement, and does it address this issue. If so, that likely controls. If not, and the company was the one taking your position away, the relocation money is their problem, not yours. Their behavior caused the entire issue. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
