Recording Meetings

I am a project manager in Washington. I would like to record my meetings so that I can run my meetings, then go back and listen to them and compile notes. What are the legalities of doing this?

Re: Recording Meetings

Washington is an all party consent to record state. All parties to the conversation must be made aware of the recording, participation after being informed is generally considered consent. You will need to repeat it if somebody enters the meeting after you have given the notice, you will also want to get everbody on record as having received the notice. If everybody is in the room you could do the notice and acknowledgment with a signature sheet that has the notice of recording and date/time of the meeting and a place for participants to sign.
