Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

I was convicted of 3 felony's and 1 misdemeanor 13 years ago. I did everything I was supposed to and have not even so much as had a traffic ticket sense. I have been an upstanding citizen. I own my own business. I am trying to rent an apartment and I am worried that the criminal record will keep me from getting one. Is there anything I can do to clear up this matter? getting the record expunged or sealing of the records? I have put all my money into my business so I cant afford a large court bill so there has to be something I can do. 1 of the charges is residential burglary ( class b felony) VUCSA-possess ( felony) Forgery ( class c felony) 1 gross misdemeanor ( theft 3)

I was 19 and had a drug problem and was in with the wrong crowd. I have sense done everything by the book and intent to keep doing so. Is there anything I can do?

You can obtain forms and instructions at http://www.courts.wa.gov/forms/index.cfm Look for the motion and order to vacate felony and the motion and order to vacate misdemeanor under "Criminal Forms".

If your misdemeanor was filed in superior court along with a felony, you can cut and past the relevant misdemeanor statutory factors in the felony form.

Review the two statutes - RCW 9.94A.640 and 9.96.060 - and you will see that the forms track the statute. It will then be easy to determine how to make a single motion addressing both a felony and a misdemeanor.
