Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

Not able to get a job.

10 Years ago my sister-in-law Was bing arrested in conection to a crime her husband did. No charges for what they had thought she had done. The arresting officer pulled her hands abouve her head exposing her breasts in front of allot of onlookers. She wore a short shirt and had no bra on.Out of embassesment she pulled back and fell the cop went down she hit the cop and did two months. All this time it comes up on her record and she would like the change to show she is a good employee and needs some work. Since then she has had some work but every time she starts looking again it comes up. What can be done to help her?

If she was convicted of Assault in the Third Degree (assaulting a law enforcement officer), she is ineligible to have the conviction vacated (cleared from her criminal history) because it is a "crime against persons".

If she was convicted of Assault in the Fourth Degree, Resisting Arrest or Obstructing a Law Enforcment Officer, she may be eligible to have the conviction vacated.
