Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Case Info

Where can I find case law for filing a reconsideration of an order of harassment? The judge never reviewed all documents and she took them all and I had to give testimony on memory and forgot alot.

I think if the judge would have understood that she had a police report and the other party admitted to lying to police about something else and then filed a declaration in family court retracting it all and admitting to lying to police that the ruling would have been different.

Re: Case Info

Case law is available at your local law library.

However, the rules of evidence don't apply in anti-harassment proceedings. That's in the evidence rules.

Police reports are generally not admissible. If there is a family law case going on did the anti harassment court know that?

You need counsel. If you cannot afford counsel, contact the County Bar for a clinic referral. Attorneys can and will help you if possible.

But doing your research for you isn't reasonable.
