Shared daycare costs in a joint custody plan

Sharing Daycare costs in a joint custody situation My husband and I were divorced approximately 2 years ago. At the time I was a loan officer making approx. $33,000 per year. Our divorce decree ordered him to pay $110.00 per month in child support for our only daughter. Everything in the Parenting Plan was to be shared with me bearing 38% of the costs and him responsible for 62%. Our daughter attended a Montessori School full time and we each paid our percentage of the cost. This past June he decided that he did not want to pay the pay the cost of the Montessori school any longer so he removed her and put her in daycare during the weeks that she is with him (we alternate weeks under the plan). I told my ex-husband that my income had dropped dramatically and that if he was going to remove her from the Montessori school then I was going to just stay home with her during the weeks that she was with me. This all seemed to be fine until he sent me an e-mail stating that I now owe him money for 38% of his daycare bill?? Something does not seem right about this and I'm wondering if I am actually responsible for 38% of his daycare bill even though i am not using any daycare when she is with me??

Re: Shared daycare costs in a joint custody plan

Assuming that your ORS assigns shares of childcare costs, you are responsible for your share of the total childcare cost. If your financial circumstances have changed you may want to file a motion for adjustment of child support.
