Re: City VS contractor / Tort Motor Vehicle / They're ditch

You are not pro se. You are a contractor. Therefore you have insurance. Call your insurance carrier right now, and tell them what is going on.

The reason it's filed under tort motor vehicle (which is irrelevant) is because the homeowner's insurance company is suing you and they are used to doing suits arising out of motor vehicle accidents and they can't read. Furthermore, it's the clerk's designation and the judge doesn't care how the clerk classifies the case.

You need a lawyer right this minute. Luckily, that's why you have been paying those insurance premiums: that pays for your lawyer. Pick up the phone and call - now.

Hope this helps. Elizabeth Powell
