Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Washington

Can I just give up??

I have been taken to court by my aunt for money owed, then ran out of money to defend myself. Can i just give up at this point and let them get a judgement? can I defend myself without attorney?

Sure, you can give up and allow entry of a judgment against you. You can also defend yourself in court, which will be tough for you if she has counsel since you probably don't know all the rules of civil procedure, rules of evidence, etc.

Still, it's better to go by yourself and try rather than do nothing and let her have judgment by default.
