Legal Question in Insurance Law in Washington

Motorcycle accident

A car turned in front of my father and he hit them he was on the motorcycle. It was there fault and they were cited for failure to yield. They did not have insurance and the car they were borrowing was not insured. My father has been in the hospital for almost week and it will be 8 weks before he can walk again due to breaking his pelvis. The dr. says it will be 6 months for his full recovery. My father has auto insurance but his motorcycle was not insured. He is also divorced so there is only 1 income plus he is paying his ex 500.00 per month from the divorce. So obviously he cant work and afford anything write now so is there anything he can do as far as going after the person that caused the accident? Any help would be great!

Re: Motorcycle accident

This is the most common sort of motorcycle accident. It happens that we handle more motorcycle cases than any law firm in Oregon, and we work in WA as well, or can refer you. Feel free to contact us. What is critical is that your dad NOT talk to the opposing insurer at this time, and that he get a lawyer asap. My website, Yourinjurylawyers dot com has a lot of Q and A on the subject.

Let us know if we may be of assistance or refer you to someone we know in WA who handles a lot of motorcycle cases as well.

Best wishes for your dad's speedy recovery.

Re: Motorcycle accident

It would be helpful to review your father's auto policy to see what if any coverage may exist for the accident. It's also important to consider whether the driver or owner of the car that hit him has any assets. Feel free to contact me to discuss.
