Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Washington

CPanel owns a trademark word mark here: http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4005:a8ips.2.4

I have a company domain name and service I'm creating in a completely different market, that does not compete with them and does not attempt to profit from their name or by trying to imply any relationship with them. Does a name such as:

salescpanel.com violate their word mark?

Your question is thoughtful. The answer to which is, "It depends!" It depends on many factors. As such, I encourage you to spend the $ to consult with a trademark attorney to get the information from you that is needed to give you a knowledgeable opinion. There is no "pat" answer to your question, since trademark use and protection and infringement is a complex and fact specific area of law. Bear in mind, an alleged violation of the use or non-use of a word or phrase constituting a trademark can be VERY expensive to prosecute or defend.

In a nutshell: Go get the opinion of an attorney who practices trademark law.
