Speed Bumps
In residence and doing business as in home child care for 12 years neighbor of 8 years without notice put in concrete block speed bumps that i consider to high and with no permit in our easement(to our driveway) making it hard for some of my parents to deliver their kids to my front door safely because of the type of cars they drive. Neidhbors reaction was well then they can walk from the road (ages of children 7, 2 and 4 months) is this illeagle? And what about reaction time of firetrucks or public service vehicles? I have listened to them scream at people to slow down but not one time have they come to me and talk face to face to resolve issue I have talked to all my parents and am satisfied that they are within the 5 to 8 mph limit. what more should i have done/

Re: Speed Bumps
It is more than likely against the law to do what your neighbor did. That gives you several possible remedies. Contact the Dept. of Public Works, or Streets, or any other local City department having jurisdiction over the streets in your town. They may carry the fight for you. Otherwise, you can retain an attorney to seek an injunction, or restraining order against the project and your neighbor.
