Legal Question in Personal Injury in Washington

Negligent Driving

A driver was cited with negligent driving 2nd degree offense by the police for crashing his car into a ditch (Going way over the speed limit). I was a passenger in the car and was injured. I visited the hospital the night after with knee pain and swelling, the hospital said i recieved a muscle contusion gave me OTC pain medication and said it should heal. It's been 3 weeks and Im still having pain going up or down stairs, running, or jogging. Do I have a valid claim with his insurance? Do I have to get a copy of the police report? What should I do?

1. Hire an attorney who specializes in personal injury.

2. Ask your personal physician to refer you to an orthopedist for xrays and an MRI and diagnosis. It's probably more than just a contusion.

Good luck,

Merry
