I'm afraid there are too many variables involved in analyzing what kind of jury award or settlement to expect with the information you've provided. In other words, there is a lot more information that's needed to even have an off-the-cuff estimate of value. Some of those factors include the liability aspects as to the nature of the accident itself, how much your medical bills were, how much lost income you sustained, and what your doctors say the future holds for you, regarding the lost bursa. That's a medical question.

Given the seriousness of your injury, it's CRITICAL that you have a lawyer, in my opinion. Also, if this was a Washington accident, please note that there is ordinarily a THREE-YEAR statute of limitations which would apply to your claim. So, if the claim isn't settled, or a proper lawsuit filed by the 3-year anniversary, it may be too late after that. I don't have enough information as to the nature of the claim to even be sure of that part. You need to sit down and TALK to a lawyer on the phone or in person. Best of luck to you,

Having a hip injury from an auto accident is a difficult case to evaluate without knowing more. Do you have any arthritis of the hip? Further, you could develop arthritis from this injury if you also have had a traumatic injury to the hip in conjunction with the bursa injury. Its a weight bearing joint and you should not be in a rush to settle it.

Its important to contact a lawyer who knows about hips and who can suggest some doctors who are hip specialists so you can be properly followed over the next few years.

If you are interested in more information about the value of your case, I would be happy to speak to you further about it. I would need to know the mechanism of the injury, secondly is liability an issue or not?, thirdly have you ever had a hip injury before?, when did you first complain of hip pain post accident and to whom did you report it.

If you would like more information, please call 1 800 282 4878.
