Legal Question in Traffic Law in Washington

traffic

I recieved tickets for having my license suspended. I was never notified that my license was suspended. In turn i was sighted with a no insurance ticket (had current insurance) an unsigned registration, speeding and a criminal ticket for driving without a license. I have taken care of everything and have my license back but i would like to have the criminal ticket and the no insurance ticket dropped. But i have no idea how to go about doing this. I had my arraignment and plead not guilty and have my pre-trial on the 12th of december. I had one friend suggest talking to the procecuting attorney and getting a state of something but i can not remember what it was called. I live in washington state and would love any help that you could provide. thankyou

Dear Sir/Madam:

As you stated, you have had your arraignment already and have pled not guilty.

If possible, it may be in your best interest to contact an attorney to assist you in this matter.

Thank you.

Respectfully.

Re: traffic

There is really no need for a stay of proceedings, and you should not agree to such a disposition.

Having reinstated your license and being in a position to prove you had liability insurance on the date the citation was issued, a worst case scenario (particularly in Ellensburg) is likely a dismissal of the insurance ticket and a reduction of the suspended license charge to the infraction of "no license on person".

You may be able to secure a dismissal of the license violation if you can establish that notice was not properly sent (as opposed to received) or the suspension was invalid. These issues may require the expertise of a criminal defense attorney.
