Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Washington

Probate with No Will, and 2 Daughters

My father passed away in January with no will. My younger sister immediately applied for Administrator of Estate, which at the time I agreed with since I live in a different state. I've spoken with the estate attorney on several occasions about my sister giving things away that were in the household that rightfully belong to both of us, just to basically be ignored. My sister has also moved into a home that my father owned, the estate attorney advised me that she would have to pay me 1/2 of the rent it would get, how do I do this? Also, she is refusing to put the home up for sale, saying that she wants to buy out my half of the home, but that she wants to give me an IOU.

I'm not exactly sure what to do considering I am out of state. The estate attorney seems unwilling to do anything, and I really just want probate to be done and over with. Can I initiate a forced sale while its still in probate? And how can I get my half of the rent money in the time being?

What state do you live in and where is the probate? It is unclear if you live in NC or WA. You will likely need to hire your own attorney in the state where probate is. If it is in WA, we reguarly handle matters such as this.
