Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in West Virginia

too much credit card debt

I have very foolishly got and ran up balances on several credit cards over the last year, living ''high on the hog'', so to speak. example(I'd love to have this, I'll just put it on my credit card--I really don't need this, but I'll.......)Now, to step into reality, I can't even make the minimum monthly payments-using one to pay on another (irrational thinking). How do I handle this from now?--which do I make a payment on?--do I pay a little on each one?(can I even do this)?--which of them do I contact and what do I ask them? I have really made a mess of things for myself, my husband has no clue of this. Please answer, I desperately need help and advice. signed----very, very stupid and ashamed.

Re: too much credit card debt

Your situation has to be evaluated in the context of your income, assets, intentions and the amount of debt. Consumer Credit Counseling is in order to put you into a position to manage the debt. There are local non-profit agencies who will help. You may elect to consult a lawyer who has experience in consumer credit issues as well as bankruptcy. (I presme you have contemplated the possibility of bankruptcy by the nature of your questions)There are always options. Many options open to you require creditor cooperation some, such as bankruptcy do not.
