Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in West Virginia

Never got the final payment.

Two years ago our contracting company built the foundation for a young couple to set their new modular on. They refused to pay the final bill of $1,700.00 so we took them to magistrate court and the case was dismissed. Is there anything we can do to collect this debt or is it too late?

Why was the case dismissed!!!!!!!?????????

If it was just because you missed the court date, you might be able to revive that case.

In THIS state, if you are the plaintiff bringing a case in small claims and you lose, you are out of luck and can take no more legal actions, especially if it was dismissed on the merits (after both sides' stories were presented to the judge). Your state might be different, though.
