Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in West Virginia

are grandchildren entitled to estates

My grandmother died 01-04-03 and had verbaly promised her house to my son and I. Her adopted daughter and husband were living with her and her other children have made her executor. there was no will and the daughter says she will keep the house and has already began selling off the contents. Is there anything I can do?

Through the laws of intestacy you are an heir assuming that your parent was her child and is deceased.
