Legal Question in Criminal Law in Wisconsin

Damage to property

I recieved a citation from a county sherriff's departmant for damage to property in the state of wisconsin. I recieved a fine and a non-mandatory court date. They said i could pay the fine before the court date, or i could show up and dispute the fine. If I attend this court date, i was wondering who (if anyone) i should bring. A lawyer? Also, I have witnesses that can collaberate that it was not me who damaged the property, should i bring them? Also... Is this small claims court or something elese- is the person accusing me of damaging his property going to be there?

Re: Damage to property

The date may only be date for you to plead guilty, non-guilty, or otherwise, and that is all. However, it depends on the facts. Where is the court located?
