Legal Question in Immigration Law in Wisconsin

Hello, I have a question, this year I was able to adjust my wife's status to a conditional permanent resident. I filled all the forms that were required and I am to file a form to remove her conditional residence 90 prior to expiration. My question is I filled out form I 864 affidavit of support stating that i will be able to support her for 10 years, I lost my job a week ago, we don't have health insurance, so I was wondering if receiving health insurance(medicaid) and possibly food stamps until I find another job, would receiving those government benefits affect us in the removing of her conditional residence and perhaps losing her status or billing me later for the amount. we wouldn't need any cash assistance primarily health insurance(medic aid). thanks

Hello:

You should not go on the government assistance as they may be able to come after you to get reimbursement of these funds.
