Legal Question in Personal Injury in Wisconsin

Liable for injury

My property is about 4 feet lower than my neighbor.There is a wall from her property to mine. Jump off the wall and you land on my property.The new tenants have children. If one of them falls off of the wall,am I liable? The wall is on her property.Bottom of wall(ground level)is mine.

The only basis for bringing a lawsuit against a landowner in Wisconsin is if the injured party can prove some negligence on the part of the landowner. If the wall is yours, you would not be liable unless the wall were negligently maintained, as far as I know. Otherwise, how could you be negligent? If a case were brought against you related to the wall, your homeowner's insurer would defend the case and would pay the costs of defense and any judgment or settlement. In short, I do not think the wall is anything you should be concerned about, assuming it is your wall, unless you do not properly maintain it.
