Legal Question in Family Law in Wyoming

Name change of minor child

I have custody of my 3yo out of wedlock daughter, her biodad has visitation. Currently her last name is hyphenated with my maiden name & Dad's last name. I want to change it/hyphenate it to have my new married name/dad's last name. Dad won't agree. Do I have any rights or a case being the custodian? He's very involved, current on child support, etc. so I have no ''abandoment'' recourse and Im not looking for termination of his rights. Would a court consider giving her my new husband's name as well?

Re: Name change of minor child

It is not likely. A child has the rights to both parents. Changing the childs name is a step toward parental alienation of biodad.
