can we withdraw dowry case completely with mutual understanding of both parties?
what steps should we take?

Yes you may withdraw the case. If an FIR is registered then file joint petition for quashing of the FIR . In no FIR is registered then simply write to the Police station/ CAW for withdrawal of the complaint. You may also drop a detailed query at [email protected]

Dowry case can be quashed by HC as it is a non compoundable offence.
