Legal Question in Employment Law in

I am a 3+ year mechanical engineer and had joined a software marketing & support company in 2006, before joining they have made me sign a bond for 4 years and if i break the bond i would have to pay 2.5 lacs. They have kept all my original certificates.

They have provided me 1 month software training (Provided by internal trainer). I was there for 1.5 years and left the company due to poor salary and heavy pressurised work load, through resignation.(No clearance).

Basically i want to know

1 If i serve the company for say 1.5 years they can recover cost of training (Internal software training??) so can a bond of 4 years be valid....

2 CAN THEY KEPT MY ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES WITH THEM ?

plz tell

keeping the original is a personal valid contract.. If you have agreed per the terms of employment it is a valid term.

if the bond is for four years, the cost of training is recoverable. it cannot be worked pro rata

They can only demand the bond amount but they can not keep your originals.

If after paying the amount still they dont return your originals then you can take action.
